Why Winter Tires?

Winter tires are essential for safe driving in cold weather, as they provide better traction in snow and ice. The key differences between summer and winter tires lie in the tread pattern and rubber compound. Summer tires perform best above 7°C, but when temperatures drop, they harden and lose grip. Winter tires, on the other hand, remain pliable in colder temperatures, ensuring better handling and stopping distances. They also have deeper grooves and “sipes” that improve grip on snow and ice. Starting October 1st, winter tires are required on most BC highways, and Motor Werke is ready to help you prepare.
