One ride and you understand why most rocket scientists are German.
With a name like his, you might expect Motor Werke owner Chris Germana to have a fondness for German engineering. And you’d be correct. Actually, fondness might actually be too mild a word. Passion is more like it, investing in Porsche factory diagnostic testing equipment. He has also been part of an exclusive North American Porsche technicians group who collectively share their knowledge with each other. So with all this expertise, you can be assured your Porsche repair and service will be done right – the first time.
Porsche maintenance schedules
Depending on the year and model, Porsche recommends minor servicing every 30,000 km and major servicing every 60,000 km. We’ll develop a specific Porsche scheduled maintenance program for your vehicle that is consistent with factory service guidelines. We also carry factory Porsche replacement parts at our shop in Kelowna – no waiting for a shipment from the coast.
Engine oil quality affects your Porsche’s performance.
In between regular servicing Porsche suggests oil changes every 15,000 to 20,000 km. In this instance, we would beg to disagree with our esteemed colleagues in Germany. Although your oil can certainly last that long, that doesn’t mean it won’t be filled with contaminants and moisture that can build up and adversely affect your engine’s performance. For turbocharged models we recommend oil changes every 5,000 km and between 8 -10,000 for normally aspirated Porsche engines.
We have the diagnostic equipment and OEM parts to service your Porsche 911 Carrera, Boxster, Cayman, Panamera, Macan or Cayenne. When it’s time for your Porsche service and repair, book with our experienced team; our passion for Porsche will help maintain yours.
