Warranty
Manufacturer and dealer warranties just don’t cut it, we get that. That’s why we created our own warranty, one that favours our clients. Our quality of service and use of OEM parts gives us confidence that your car will be safe on the road.
We express that confidence by offering a three-year warranty covering repair, service, and maintenance work provided by MW Motor Werke. The best part? No restrictions on how far you drive—kilometres are unlimited!
Plastic and Rubber Parts: For plastic and rubber parts, we offer a one-year warranty.* If upgraded or improved design parts are available, the warranty can be adjusted to our traditional warranty.

*Plastic & Rubber Parts Disclaimer Beginning in the mid-1980’s, automotive manufacturers cars increased the use of plastic and rubber in critical areas of the cars’ engine, suspension and drive train systems. At the same time, operating pressures were increased by 100% over the earlier systems (from 15 to 30 psi), and temperatures by 33% (from 82 degrees to 115 degrees Celsius). Plastic and rubber has the advantages of low cost and weight and an abundant supply of recycled material. Offsetting these qualities are its unpredictable way of failing, along with a poor response to thermal stress over time. In other words, plastic and rubber becomes unreliable with age, and it fails unpredictably. Rubber typical shows signs of wear and can be caught before failure but plastic often fails from the inside out. This means there may be no external indications of aging: no visible cracks; no stains; no visible clues to the deterioration going on inside. Our job as technicians and service providers is to identify and replace failed parts, but also to suggest cost-effective preventive repairs. All too often, a failed plastic or rubber part will generate an emergency repair, only to have another part of the same material fail in that system soon after. The metaphor we use to describe this is that of an old garden hose: patch the big leak, and watch for the next one to spring up. This method generates much duplicated labor, inconvenience, and potential damage. A more efficient approach is to look ahead and plan when to replace these parts as a group. This approach maintains the cars reliability while reducing the overall cost of repairs. Due to the inherent design and nature of plastic and rubber component failure.
When serviced regularly with qualifying GAP Professional Products and equipment, the GAP Lifetime Protection Plan provides transferable mechanical breakdown protection for critical vehicle systems. Coverage takes effect after the original manufacturer warranty expires and can cover deductibles on purchased extended warranties.
Eligibility level is determined by the vehicle’s odometer reading at the time of the initial qualifying service:
Level 1 (0 – 80,000 km / 0 – 50,000 miles): Up to $5,000 CAD ($4,000 USD) coverage per service.
Level 2 (80,001 – 160,000 km / 50,001 – 100,000 miles): Up to $2,500 CAD ($2,000 USD) coverage per service. (Note: Automatic transmission service enrollment is capped at 120,000 km / 75,000 miles.)
Level 3 (160,001 – 200,000 km / 100,001 – 125,000 miles): Up to $500 CAD ($300 USD) coverage. Coverage is limited to the price of service and subsequent services performed on the failed system (excluding shop supplies). Level 3 coverage is not available for automatic transmissions.
Protection is maintained separately for each system by completing qualifying services within the specified maximum service intervals:
Engine Service (Gasoline & Diesel): Covers internally lubricated engine components. Service intervals are up to 16,000 km (10,000 miles) for additive-only services or up to 25,000 km (15,000 miles) for performance oil change services. Diesel engines are subject to operating hour limits (up to 3,750 hours depending on coverage tier).
Fuel & Induction Systems: Covers fuel injectors against failure (deposit-related failures for diesel) and diesel EGR components (cooler, EGR valve, intake valves). Service intervals range from 16,000 km (10,000 miles) for tank additives to 25,000 km (15,000 miles) for induction services and 50,000 km (30,000 miles) for diesel EGR services.
Automatic & CVT Transmissions: Covers internally lubricated parts inside the transmission housing. Service must be performed every 50,000 km (30,000 miles) using approved fluid exchange equipment and fluids. CVT vehicle eligibility begins with model year 2015.
Cooling System: Covers the water pump, heater core, radiator, and freeze plugs. Requires service every 50,000 km (30,000 miles).
Power Steering: Covers lubricated parts within the steering gear/rack and power steering pump. Requires service every 50,000 km (30,000 miles).
Driveline: Covers lubricated parts within the differential housing, transfer case, and manual transmission. Requires service every 50,000 km (30,000 miles).
Brake Fluid: Covers mechanical lubricated brake parts, including calipers and master cylinder. Requires service every 50,000 km (30,000 miles).
Brake Hardware Maintenance: Covers slider pins, pad carriers, pads, and rotors damaged by seized slider pins up to $200 CAD. Service must be performed every 25,000 km (15,000 miles) or annually, with initial enrollment prior to 200,000 km.
Professional Servicing: All services must be performed by an approved professional service center using GAP products, equipment, and OEM-specified fluids. Self-servicing or DIY fluid changes void plan coverage.
Waiting Period: Coverage takes effect 30 days and 1,200 km (750 miles) after initial qualifying service, whichever occurs last (30 days and 5,000 km / 3,100 miles for fuel systems).
Driving Minimums: Vehicles must be driven at least 8,000 km (5,000 miles) per year. For low-mileage vehicles driven less than this amount, service must be performed at least every 2 years for engine/fuel services and every 3 years for other fluid systems.
Vehicle Limits: Eligible vehicles include passenger cars, vans, SUVs, and light trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) under 9,500 lbs (4,318 kg) and under 15 years of age from manufacture date.
Transferability: If vehicle ownership changes, protection plan coverage is transferable.
Common Exclusions: Commercial vehicles (taxis, rentals, limousines), racing/competition vehicles, snowplow vehicles, salvaged/rebuilt titles, pre-existing mechanical damage, engine oil consumption issues, and rental car expenses are excluded.
