Electric vehicle service & repair in Kelowna
Electric vehicles (EVs) are revolutionizing transportation, with leaders like Tesla and Rivian offering innovative options alongside other brands. Tesla’s lineup includes the Model S, Model X, Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck. The premium Model S sedan and Model X SUV feature all-wheel drive, panoramic roofs, falcon-wing doors, and up to 405 miles of range. The accessible Model 3 sedan and Model Y crossover deliver Autopilot safety tech, minimalist interiors, and up to 341 miles of range, while the rugged Cybertruck boasts a stainless steel body and up to 340 miles.
Rivian focuses on adventure EVs with the R1T truck and R1S SUV, both offering quad-motor drive, up to 420 miles of range, off-road capabilities, and unique storage like a gear tunnel.
Other notable EVs include the Ford Mustang Mach-E (up to 300 miles), Kia EV6 (up to 310 miles), and Lucid Air (up to 516 miles), providing diverse choices for efficiency and style.
EV charging is expanding rapidly, with Tesla’s Supercharger network (over 33,000 stations, increasingly open to all) and options like Electrify America for fast, convenient travel.
FUN FACT: Rivian’s R1T was the first mass-market electric pickup, launched in 2021 with adventure features like a built-in flashlight and frunk cooler for outdoor enthusiasts.

Do EV's Need Service?
Yes, EV’s do require regular service to keep them running at their best. While electric cars like Tesla and Rivian have fewer moving parts than traditional combustion engine cars, they still require regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Some of the recommended service items for EV’s include tire rotations, brake fluid replacement, cabin air filter replacement, high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter replacement, having the battery coolant replaced every four years or 50,000 miles, and having the brake fluid replaced every two years.
We also find EV’s tend to wear through brakes and tires more often that other vehicles. At Motor Werke you can find high quality brakes and tires EV’s require.
