Originally designed as the “peoples car”, the original Type 1 VW (beetle) was designed to be the German equivalent of the Ford Model T, a cheap and a affordable vehicle for the German people. The resulting vehicle was exactly that, once production was in full swing 21 million of them would be sold around the world becoming one of the most iconic vehicles ever sold and the VW group would become on of the worlds largest auto manufactures.
FUN FACT: The original Beetle was originally designed in 1935 and sold with only minor changes until 2003, almost 70 years. At Motor Werke we service hundreds of Volkswagen owners in Kelowna.
